HTML5 Release Gate Kit is a small offline release desk for indie developers shipping browser games on itch.io. Drop in a ZIP, fix the blockers it can prove, then complete the included title-to-ending player-path matrix before you publish.

This is not a single-purpose missing-file checker. One purchase covers two release gates:

1. an automatic package audit you can run before upload; and
2. a repeatable evidence workflow for the final public build, from title screen to ending across pointer, keyboard, touch, save/refresh, three viewports, console errors, and failed requests.

It is designed for developers who need a release record they can reuse and hand off, not just a one-time path warning. If you only need one narrow filename or case-sensitivity check, a cheaper single-purpose tool may be a better fit.

Automatic ZIP gate

• Verifies that index.html is at the ZIP root
• Checks local references in HTML and CSS
• Catches missing files, case mismatches, and case collisions
• Flags absolute local paths and external runtime dependencies
• Warns about .DS_Store and __MACOSX packaging debris
• Exports a JSON report for the release record

Manual release gate

The download includes editable matrices for title, core loop, save and refresh, ending, and the public iframe; pointer, keyboard and touch; 1440x900, 390x844 and 320x700; console and failed-network checks; bug reports and a release decision.

Private by design

The auditor runs from a local HTML file. Your ZIP stays in the browser tab and is not uploaded to a server.

This kit identifies a limited set of package risks. It is not a security audit, performance or load test, payment certification, copyright review, or guarantee of a defect-free release. Runtime-generated asset paths may need manual review.
